SEAL BEACH- Continuing to consolidate endorsements from within the business community, businessman and FreeConferenceCall.com President Josh Lowenthal, who is running for State Assembly, announced the endorsement of OCBC BIZ-PAC—the political arm of the Orange County Business Council (OCBC). OCBC is the premier voice of business in Orange County and is dedicated to enhancing the community’s economic development and prosperity, while also ensuring that business interests are represented at all levels of government.
“As a business owner, Josh Lowenthal has a proven record on job creation and working to cut the red tape to improve the business climate in California. Orange County Business Council looks forward to working with Mr. Lowenthal in his capacity as an Assemblymember to further Orange County’s economic engine and preserve Prop 13 for its businesses and residents,” said Lucy Dunn, Executive Director of the Business Council’s PAC.
“This endorsement is a game changer. As a business owner, I’m proud to have the support of one of the state’s most effective business advocacy coalitions. I’m focused on creating good jobs and easing unnecessary regulations on business, while protecting our community and consumers. This endorsement is a huge boost for me and my campaign,” said Lowenthal.
Lowenthal’s OCBC endorsement continues a trend of bad news for the faltering Tyler Diep campaign. The 72ndAssembly District went for Hillary Clinton by a margin of 8 points in 2016 and has seen a precipitous drop in Republican registration over the last few years. Turnout in the 2018 primary closely mirrored turnout in 2016, which is a bad sign for Republican candidates facing organized, well-financed Democratic opponents. Additionally, polling conducted by Goodwin Simon Strategic Research (Paul Goodwin and Amy Simon) shows the Democratic candidate in this race with a considerable 17 percentage point advantage.
Further, Lowenthal is continuing to garner support from traditional Republican organizations as well as Democrats, Republican elected officials, and public safety organizations, among others.
Josh Lowenthal lives in Huntington Beach with his wife and three daughters. He is President of FreeConferenceCall.com, which operates the largest retail conferencing brand in the world, www.FreeConferenceCall.com. His company operates in over 60 countries, and is utilized by nearly 800,000 businesses, non-profit organizations, religious institutions, and international entities such as the Red Cross and the World Bank. As President, Josh helped increase the revenues of the business tenfold.
